Top Ten Tuesday

Its Tuesday again and that means its time for Top Ten Tuesday! This feature is hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish!  This weeks topic is top ten books with fall or autumn vibes! So either a cover or just the vibe of the book that feel like Fall! I'm gonna separate the list two!

Fall Vibes

1.The Beast Is An Animal by Peternalle van Arsdale.
I really wish I would have waited for October to read this book because it gives the perfect spooky fall vibes that I'm desperately searching for right now! Its perfect for this season actually!

2. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stievfvater.
I have only read this first book in the cycle so I cant 100% say anything for the other books, but The Raven Boys has a great fall spooky vibe to it! Its eerie and warm all at the same time! I'm actually reading The Dream Thieves now and hope to have the whole series done by the end of the month!

3. Raised by wolves trilogy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.
Its a werewolf trilogy. I'd say it falls perfectly in place here.

moving on...

Fall Covers

4.  Pandemonium (Delirium, #2) pretty orange and brown colors on the front!

  5. Fire (Graceling Realm, #2) I like the mix of orange and red!

6. Three Dark Crowns (Three Dark Crowns, #1)  something about it just gives fall vibes to me!

7. Ruin and Rising (Shadow and Bone, #3)  The new covers for the grisha trilogy are gorgeous and this one gives autumn vibes!

8. The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1)   The leaves and sun shining through on the book give me crisp morning fall feels.

9. Walk on Earth a Stranger (The Gold Seer Trilogy, #1)  That gold and that fire on the front though...

10. Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows, #2)  just beautiful...

Ok that's my list! What covers or books give you fall vibes!?

September Wrap Up 2017

Hello! I'm actually putting up my September wrap up on time (unlike my August one..). So September was actually an awesome reading month! I read a total of 6 books! I usually average about 4 and even that it pretty good for me! Anyway, the books read this month are...

(all links lead back to Goodreads)

The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1)The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater.
This book was so good! I honestly don't know why I avoided it for so long! I love Maggie's writing and her Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy is one of my favorites of all time! But I'm kinda glad I read this book now instead of when it first came out cause now I get to marathon read the series this month and don't have to wait for any of the books to come out! But seriously, this book is so good! Its a very character driven book, so if you're not into that then maybe you wont like this book. I usually need a good mix of plot and characters to really enjoy a book but the characters are so well written in this one that I didn't even really care for the plot as much as I usually do! Also, its quite spooky! I think its a perfect October book! I intend to read the whole series this month!
4.5 stars!

Cruel Beauty (Cruel Beauty Universe, #1)

Cruel Beauty by Rosemund Hodge
I went in to this book really expecting to like it and sadly I didn't really care for it as much as I hoped! It wasn't awful or anything but it just was missing what I wanted. I had some issues with the main character to start with. And there was a little bit of insta-love too, so that's no good. I did really like the ending though! I didn't expect it at all and was pleasantly surprised!
3 stars!

A Darker Shade of Magic (Shades of Magic, #1)

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
Now this one was a big dissapontment... Maybe I shouldn't have gone into it with such high expectations. That was my fault. But I had just heard so many great things about this book! Every one on booktube raves about it! Everything I was told to expect just didn't happen! The characters were bland. I hated Lila Bard. The Villains were lackluster. The world was somewhat interesting, I guess. Oh, and everything I guessed would happen in the second book did ( I haven't read the second book but I spoiled it for myself because I have no intention to read it). This just wasn't what I had hoped it would be. Its by no means terrible. the writing is good and the plot was intriguing enough for me to keep reading. Just not for me.  I might do a review on this one so that I can properly explain.
2.5 stars

The Rebel of Clan Kincaid (Highland Warrior #2)

The Rebel Of Clan Kincaid by Lily Blackwood
This is a sequel to Lily's first book The Beast of Clan Kincaid, which I loved, and this one was honestly just as swoon worthy! The romance is just as good as in the first one. If you're looking for a good historical romance book full of forbidden love, lust, and happy endings, then this ones really good!
4 stars.

One Dark Throne (Three Dark Crowns, #2)

One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake
This book... was everything I needed it to be! I had waited a year for this one to come out! I had very high expectations with how good the first one was, and it did not disappoint! The book dives right in the plot this time around and it does not stop till the very last page! I need the next book... now! I'm gonna have to do a full review on this one cause I have way too many things to say about it and I don't want this post to be mega long!
5 Stars!

The Language of Thorns: Midnight Tales and Dangerous MagicThe Language Of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo
I don't even really know how to put all my feelings into words... Leigh Bardugo is just sooo good! I adore her writing and I adore the messages she puts into every single one of her stories! This book is made up of six short stories and every single one reads like a dark, twisted fairytale. Every single story is beautifully written and has such wonderful turns and twist that you just don't see coming! Its beautiful, really! I highly recommend it to everyone! P.S. My favorite character makes a cameo and it made the rest of my year...
5+ stars!!!

So that's my wrap up! I started out good and ended the month with two 5 star books so I'm pretty happy! How was your reading last month? Did we read any of the same books?

Top Ten Tuesday

Hello! Its time again for Top Ten Tuesday! This feature is hosted every Tuesday over at The Broke and The Bookish  and yes I know its Wednesday but I ran out of time to post it yesterday! Better late than never, right? This weeks topic is top ten fictional boyfriends... so expect this list to be a big mess! I'm gonna start this list from 10 down to 1 to emphasize importance!

10. Edward Cullen from The Twilight saga.
Now that I'm older, I understand that he was actually really creepy and had some issues, ok. But 17 year old me didn't see any of that and I held him as my top book boyfriend back then. And even though I don't necessarily see him as one anymore, this list wouldn't really be complete without him!

9. Jacob Black from The Twilight Saga.
Again, 17 year old me loved him and carried a tote that said team Jacob on it. I was a hot mess ok? and same as Edward, I no longer feel as passionately as I did for him (I see now that he was actually kind of annoying), but this list had to include him.

8. Devon from the Raised By Wolves trilogy.
I loved Devon, he was my favorite male character in this  series! And he was such a good friend and he was loyal! Oh, and he was a werewolf so...

7. Peeta Mellark from The Hunger Games.
Peeta was such a sweet boy and the way he selflessly loved Katniss destroyed me. He was just so pure and good and the last book broke my heart for him!

6. Richard Gansey III from The Raven Boys.
I have only read the first book in the cycle and I can already tell you that I am head over heels my friends. His personality is just top notch. He's so funny and I love the way he loves and cares for his boys. The fact that I have 3 more books to read with him in them makes my heart swell!

5. Finnick Odair from Catching Fire.
I loved Finnick so much. He was my second favorite character in that trilogy and I will never forget him!

4. Nikolai Lanstov from The Grisha Trilogy.
Nikolai is such wonderfully complex character. He is funny and yet calculating and clever but above all, he is just a really good man who cares about his country more than anything. I love him dearly!

3. Kaz Brekker from The Six of Crows Duology.
I was not all that crazy for him in the first book, he was just okay... but then in the second book he does something that absolutely destroyed me. I cried like an idiot! I think its the fact that he shows his love in actions more than he can physically that gets to me! Its just so pure and beautiful!

2.Sam Roth from the Wolves of Mercy Falls Trilogy.
Sam was the first character that I ever declared my soulmate. I loved him more than I can say. He was such a sweetheart and he was so kind! When I think of a overall good guy, he fits perfectly. And he wrote indie love songs... 16 year old me was a goner!

1. The Darkling from The Grisha Trilogy.
The Darkling is officially my favorite book character of all time. My love for him is infinite. Everything about him speaks to me on a level that would take to long to explain. His power, his ambition, his calculating mind, his vulnerability due to loneliness... so complex and wonderful. He is flawed. Very flawed. And I don't condone his actions. But I still love him.

And there we go! That's my mess of a list for you! Who did you choose as your top fictional boyfriends?! Do we have any in common?!
