Its Top Ten Tuesday again! I didn't participate in the mothers day freebie one because I could not come up with anything for that topic! But I'm back this week and the topic is a summer reads freebie! I'm also not coming up with anything creative for this topic cause my head just keeps going blank. So instead I'm just gonna list off the top books i'd like to read this summer/ that are on my TBR list!

(p.s. some of these books have been sitting on my shelves forever and I'm planning on finally getting to them this summer. Fingers crossed!)

review: A Cinderella Deal

And so the Cinderella Deal is born: Daisy will transform herself into Linc’s prim-and-proper fiancée, and at the stroke of midnight they will part ways, no glass slippers attached. But something funny happens on their way to make-believe bliss, as a fake engagement unexpectedly spirals into an actual wedding. Now, with Linc and Daisy married and under one roof, what started as a game begins to feel real—and the people who seem so wrong for each other realize they may truly be just right.

Plot: I found the plot of the story entertaining! It wasn't original and I obviously knew what was gonna happen at the end of the book. still, I enjoyed it!

Characters: Most of the characters were decent. They were written realistically enough that I found myself being reminded of people who Ive met or worked with. this made the story feel more relatable. and I also appreciated that the characters grew and became better people through out the story. and I'm glad Chickie left her creep husband and became an independent woman! She deserved better!

Setting: written decently enough. i had to problem picturing the small town of Prescott. nothing spectacular but not bad.

At its best: Funny. I definitely "Lol" during some parts. And i liked the pace of the romance. it didn't feel rushed or unrealistic. or at least not unrealistic for the what the situation was... Also, i loved that the book wasn't long! it was a short read and that was refreshing!

At its worst: nothing for me to complain about really. (shocking...)

Read again: maybe one day sure!

Final thoughts: a light fun read! If you're looking for something quick, funny, and entertaining then id definitely give it a go!

Top Ten Tuesday

Yay! Time for Top Ten Tuesday! I missed out last Tuesday but I'm back this week! This feature is hosted over at The broke and the bookish and this week the topic is top ten things you wish to see more of in books!

1. Stand alone books. Lately Ive been really enjoying books with no sequels, prequels, etc.
2. Male protagonist. Well done male protagonist.
3. siblings. books about siblings or just with some siblings in it.
4. Parents. why are they never all over the place like mine are???
5. Villains POV. That would be so interesting!
6. Strong Friendships. No romance for once, just a beautiful, pure friendship!
7. Diversity.
8. Books about Marie Antoinette. I love her and want more books about her.
9. Realistic romances. Something that I could see actually happening in my life.

Review: Hunted by Meagan Spooner

First off, the cover is the first thing that caught my attention. Its so pretty! And then when I read what it was about and saw that it was a retelling of Beauty and the Beast, I was sold! And it didn't  disappoint! I loved it! It was so enchanting and captivating! I read it in 2 days and I haven't read a book that fast in years!

I loved everything about this book! The characters were great! I loved Yeva and her strong willed personality. She was a strong female character that didn't feel to stereotypical or overly done! The way the original story was changed in the book was well done and it didn't feel as predictable as I expected it to be. I had read that some readers thought the book was slow paced and that it lacked action. However I enjoyed the pace of the book and thought the story flowed smoothly with out the need of action or nerve wrecking suspense. Honestly, it was perfect!

Now... lets talk about the Beast. I'm gonna start of by saying right away that I'm trash for the Beast. Always have been, always will be! There was no exception here! I loved him. I cried for him! I lived for the moments where we got to see glimpses of who his personality. I just ... I just loved him!

Overall, this book was amazing and I absolutely loved, loved, loved it! I cried multiple times through out this book and that's usually a good sign for me! Its officially on my favorites list! I cant wait to see what else Meagan Spooner comes out with and I hope its along the lines of this! If you haven't read it and love Beauty and the Beast, definitely do so!
