Follow Fridays



Q. Talk about the book that most changed or influenced your life (was it a book that turned you from an average to avid reader, did it help you deal with a particularly difficult situation, does it bring you comfort every time you read it?).


A: The book that most influenced me was the Outsiders.I read that book in the seventh grade. Before that book, I didn't really like reading. But after I read it, I realized how much I actually enjoyed reading. I remember actually being excited for school only because we were reading The Outsiders in class. It really changed me and turned me into the kind of person I am today, which is a book lover.

    I was supposed to read this book in junior high, but I didn't. I didn't read most books I was supposed to in junior and high school. I'm glad it made such a difference in your life. I have it on my TBR list now because I know I'm missing out on something great.

    Oh, we read some excerpts of that one in school! I'm glad it's been special to you and that it helped you turn out as the person you are today. :) My choice did this for me too, as well helping through some rougher times.
