Q: You’ve just had a long, hard, exhausting day, and all you want to do is curl up with something light, fun, easy, fluffy, distracting, and entertaining. What book do you pick up?
A: Honestly, when I have an exhausting day, any book is good for me to curl up with. Books are my escape from reality. They make me forget about my problems and worries and let me live a life thats not mine. Books in general relax me.
I agree, but I do enjoy taking a fluff break every now and again in between more serious things.
ReplyDeleteI agree on this one but I tend to pick up something I've read before.
ReplyDeleteHere's my answer at Whatever You Can Still Betray.

Fair enough, I guess if I didn't have access to the books that I usually turn to in times of stress, any other book would probably suffice. Good answer!
ReplyDeleteGood answer! Once it is a good book it is easy to escape. :)

I tend toward mystery when I'm tired. I noticed you're reading Before I Fall. It's a good one.
ReplyDeleteSame here! I grab a book from my shelf, lie on my bed and start reading.
ReplyDeleteI nominated you for the Liebster Book Award!
Hey there! New book blogger here. Good answer--I skipped this question because I had no idea what to put. I don't really reach for books based on mood, other than re-reads. If I had to pick, I'd probably Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone. The series was such a big part of my childhood and it's comforting to reaffirm that connection in a way.
ReplyDeleteGood reply!! I feel the same, just picking up a book relaxes me (at least id it's not something like Dostoyevsky's The Brothers Kramazov)
