Book Associations: 

Which genre, authors, or particular books do you think 

people associate with your reading style?

 

 

Q: I think I'm more associated with the Twilight Saga just because I'm the one who got all the women in my family hooked on it. Thanks to me they're all obsessed with the movies and some have even read the books. And I'm also the person they all come to when they want to know something about the series. I'm even gonna go as far as to say that I've gotten some of the men in the family to like it as well. And that's really hard to do since just the mention of sparklilng vampires makes them dislike it instantly.

The Reviews We Don't Write: 

Have you ever read a book and not wanted to review it? Are some books too personal that we want to keep our thoughts our own? 

When I love a book, I do write a review for it because that's how I can express how I feel about it. Its how I can explain my love for it. But when I don't like a book, then its hard for me to review it. Why? Because I end up just saying a bunch of negative stuff about the book and then I feel rude and bad because of what I wrote. So I'm actually the opposite of the what the question asks.

Q: Taking it Personal: Which books have effected you on a personal level and lingered in your mind long after you closed the pages?

A: The first book that comes to my mind is Oh, The Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss. I read this book a couple months age, a few weeks before my high school graduation, and its stuck with me. I loved everything that this book said. It went perfectly with the circumstances in my life. I felt like I was being told about how the world would be after graduation in an uplifting way, not in a way that would scare me and make me fearful. Oh, The Places You'll Go told me things that I needed to her. It made me want to never give up hope, to never give up on my dreams, and to pursue my happiness.

Bookshelf Tour: Where do you keep your books at home? 

Are they organized?

A: I keep all my books on this big shelf I have in my room. I have it right in next to my bed, that way I can just reach over and grab whatever book I want, when I want. My books are organized by shelf, each different shelf symbolizes how much I liked a book. So all my favorites are on one shelf and then all the ones I didn't like so much are on a different one and so on.

Book Blogger Appreciation: Which book blogs have inspired you 

or made a difference in your blogging experience?

 

A: The first book blog I stumbled upon was Book Crazy from Jenn. It was the first one I started to follow and I really liked it. After that I started to look for more and came upon a couple more that have really inspired me. For example I'd So Rather Be Reading from Kelli and Natalie and The Bookish Type from Casey. I feel that these girls are really honest with their reviews and that we have similar taste in books so I trust what they have to say about them.

TGIF Question: Blogger Confession: What's the last book you could not finish?
(or had a hard time finishing?)

A: I haven't really had to many books that I can't finish or had a hard time finishing. I'm the kind of person who kind of force myself to finish a book. I don't like leaving it unfinished. But if I just can't take it anymore, then I do put it away and tell myself that I will finish reading it someday, even though I probably won't.
