Review: Pandemonium
Title: Pandemonium
Author: Lauren Oliver
Published: 2/28/2012
Series: Delirium #2
Publisher: Harper Teen
I'm pushing aside the memory of my nightmare,
pushing aside thoughts of Alex,
pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school,
push,
push,
push,
like Raven taught me to do.
The old life is dead.
But the old Lena is dead too.
I buried her.
I left her beyond a fence,
behind a wall of smoke and flame.
Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bestseller, Delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.
Wow, this was awesome. I can't tell if I liked it more than Delirium, but I think I do. From beginning to end, It hooked me. This book is filled with action and even more with emotion. I loved it!
Lena truly grows and morphs into a girl that does what she needs to survive. And not just that, but into a girl who stands for what she believes in and does what is right. She doesn't let herself get pushed around anymore. We didn't see that it the first book but in this one its all over the pages.
I really liked the characters in this book too. I loved Julian. I might even like him more than Alex, but maybe that's because he's fresher in my mind. And the group from the Wilds were very endearing. I did miss Hana though.
Like I said, I loved it! That ending though was crazy! I can't believe I have to wait till next year for the last book! Its gonna be a mess but I can't wait! If you haven't read it then do it!
